NaBloPoMo | Day 5: Hurricane Sandy – Part Five

In case you haven’t already heard the totally-super-awesomenews, the power in my neighborhood has been restored, and I am back home.

Holy happiness, Batman.

* throws confetti *

I will be back to posting, blogging, updating, tweeting, facebooking, and working on my novel, right after I catch up on some much needed sleep!

Until then…

Please enjoy this hilarious video of my 5 year old nephew, MDW.

I don’t know what’s funnier?

The way he does the worm?
The knee-slide?
The robot?
Or the fact that this is his new favorite song and he will dance to it all day long!

PS: Don’t forget, we’re pretending  that I’m George Lucas and my story about the hurricane will continue to be posted out of order, kind of like Star Wars.

M’kay?

Hoo-freakin-Ray! Meleah’s back in da house! I bet you are doing cartwheels over being back in your own purple sanctuary. Cannot wait for you to catch up on all your rest, caffeine and blog posting.

Cute dance moves. I think he’s ready for DWTS. All of his moves are stellar, but I like his MMA fighting style at the end.

  2. Allyson says:

Your nephew has got some wicked moves! Glad to hear you’re back home, gives me hope that normalcy may yet return.

  3. HeSaidHisTelephoneNumberWas911 says:

Hil-freakin-arious! What it is that is your family is clearly carried on to the next generation. MDW has the moves and the ‘tude.

  4. Ron says:

    *thunderous applause*

    BRAVO!

Meleah, your nephew ROCKS! I am like TOTALLY impressed with his dance moves.

He should enter in “Dancing With The Stars!”

Awesome video clip, girl! And I am soooooooooooo happy to hear that you’re home and the power has been restored!

    YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

He has some great moves and good taste in music. That’s one of my faves, too. Glad to hear you are home and things are getting back to normal for you.

  6. Lucy says:

Yeah!!! So glad you are home!! Your nephew is too darn cute, loved all his dance moves 🙂

  7. SilverNeurotic says:

Yay for electricity. Sadly, my sister and her boyfriend STILL have no electricity and they are stuck because they need to work (and well, my sister is currently carless and has to stay within walking distance of her job).

  8. ladyV says:

he was killing it and i bet he didn’t bump a head or toe or nothing. meanwhile we adults would have knocked the crap out of ourselves just walking in to get coffee. he has some moves on him.

  9. shadowrun300 says:

When do we get to see Meleah’s happy dance? Although it’ll be hard to outdance your nephew. How cute is he!
Congratulations on getting to go home! Rest up ’cause we’re all expecting quite a few stories from you!

  10. OMG MELEAH!!!! That is… using your expression…. SOFA KING HILARIOUS!

  11. Agg, I slept for the WHOLE day yesterday.
    And it was AWESOME.
I took a break from the Internet too.
I feel SO MUCH better now.

Thank you for watching the whole video, too!

    🙂

  12. I am so happy. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been so exhausted.
But after resting & sleeping for 24hours, I am back in action, in full force!

  13. Ahahahhaahahhahaha DWTS! AhahahHAHhaha!

  14. I am so relieved to be back home!

  15. Thanks, Shadow!

I think I slept for like 20 hours! I was SOFA KING tired!

  16. Small Town Mommy says:

He is quite the little dancer. How adorable was that.

  17. territerri says:

That boy’s got MOVES! He’s going to be a big hit with the girls when he gets older. Come to think about it, he’s probably already a big hit with the girls! What a cutie!

  18. Awww! Thank you, Terri!

    🙂

  19. Cheryl P. says:

Sorry, I am late getting over here…I am during a marathon today to get caught up.

Your nephew is so cute. I think 5 year old boys much all have some sort of common link. Our 5 year old grandson had the exact same Power Ranger costume. I do think your nephew has way more moves though. If we tried to do that we could call it a workout. That is really adorable.

  20. Oh you must teach your grandson the worm!

  21. Selma says:

He is beyond cute. Fantastic news about the power!!!!

  22. oldereyes says:

Terrific video. Five is such a wonderful, uninhibited age.
