Day two (again) / CHANTIX

I stayed up all night last night, drawing, NOT SMOKING.

I haven’t drawn in years. It was something I used to do, way back in my early teenage days. These aren’t too good… but like I said, it’s been a while! These are the “rough drafts” of the pictures for the two people from my old high school that asked me to draw them something:

FOR SARA

FOR HOLLY:

So, I am off to start the new product today, CHANTIX, even if I am scared. I am moving forward. Please… Pray for MILD side effects! If any QMEMBER or (any INTERNET passer-byer who stumbled upon this blog) has any SUGGESTIONS? ADVICE? OR REAL EXPERIENCE GOOD OR BAD… PLEASE ADVISE. I would rather hear from REAL people than phamphlets about side effects and or benefits.

Thankfully, my son is coming back from his weekend away. When he is home it always helps me stay in line, and act right. (what it is about the freedom from parental responsibilities that makes me act like a teenager myself?)

And, I am off to clean, clean, clean, do laundry, febreze, dust, vacuum, Lysol, de-smoke-ify the stank from my house all over again. That’s sure to keep me busy enough to NOT SMOKE today too.

Whew! Here’s to a new day. (And better lungs! Health! Living!)

Well now you know how good a quit feels (how you were before you slipped) and how crappy cigs feel once you have decided to quit.

There’s no going back. They’ll never feel good again. Sorry.

So, quit again, and earn back that good feeling.

We’ve all been there, and the successful ones have gotten back on the horse. I’ve slipped many times but this quit, I’m 103 days in. YOU CAN DO THIS.

This time my doctor said that this is new, & is supposed to be the best to quit smokes. I’m on my 4th day of chantix .05 mg. then dose goes up to 1mg pill for 3 weeks. I’ve tried patches, gum, etc. to no avail.

It say’s to smoke if you want the 1st week.

I smoked 2 packs/day for over 26 yrs. & this is the best.

Congrats on your decision to take back the control of your life. There’s a whole bunch of people that used Chantix. I’m not one of them. They formed a club.

I am almost 2 mos. into my quit with chantix and it is the best thing that ever happened to me. I tried everything on the market and I do mean everything and this is the only thing that did it for me. I feel like telling the world how this worked for me and nothing else. I did take it longer then a week though and smoked because I didn’t feel ready yet. Good luck.
You can do it. There is also a chantix club.

I have been taking Chantix for a little over 2 weeks. It has helped me more than I could say. I would suggest to anyone to try it. You can go to chantix.com to read up on it a little bit if you would like. There is also a forum here for chantix users.

I started taking Chantix on Dec 27th, and quit on Dec 30th because the cigs just weren’t worth smoking anymore.

I have mild habit craves sometimes, but nothing major. I’m not aware of having any side effects that couldn’t be from the quit itself.

From my experience, I would recommend trying Chantix, but I am CERTAIN that I want to quit this time.

I was just on your blog and I wanna say for the record that your pictures are REALLY FUCKING GOOD! I do charcoal sketches and I’ve wanted to do Japanese brush painting for awhile but I haven’t settled down enough to do them. I also have to get my digital camera up and running. This might be a good time. I have a neighbor down the hall that sort of does artwork as a part time job and your stuff (at least from what you’ve shown) is WAAAY better than her stuff! NICE!

Also for the record, feel free to ‘ROCK’ as much as you like! In no way, shape or form should my previous comment lodge itself into a complaint category! It’s not that I’m staring, I’m just reading your t-shirts!!! :o)

Been on Chantix for the past two weeks and quit since a week. It does work for me as I do not get serious cravings. It helps to understand your cravings and develop strategies to manage them. going to http://www.quitsmokingonline.com

and http://www.whyquit.com plus forums at quitnet.com really helped along with deep breathing, yoga, meditation and a positive attitude.
