Charlie Sheen Is Going Off The Rails On A Crazy Train

Last night I sat down to watch ABC’s 20/20 interview with Charlie Sheen. After witnessing him self-destruct on CNN with Piers Morgan, I thought nothing could surprise me. But I was wrong. Very. Wrong.

To say Charlie Sheen is off the deep-end would be the understatement of the decade. Not even the world’s greatest fiction writer could come up with the disturbing statements that came out of his mouth.

I am on a drug. It’s called Charlie Sheen. It’s not available. If you try it once, you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body.”

“I’m tired of pretending I’m not a total bitchin’ rock star from Mars.”

“If you borrowed my brain for five seconds, you’d be like, ‘Dude! Can’t handle it, unplug this bastard!’ “It fires in a way that’s maybe not from, uh… this terrestrial realm.”

“I was banging seven-gram rocks, because that’s how I roll.  I have one speed, I have one gear: Go.”

“Look what I’m dealing with, man, I’m dealing with fools and trolls.”

“I’m bi-winning.” “The only thing I’m addicted to right now is winning.”

“I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words — imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists.”

“ CBS picked a fight with a warlock.”

“I will not believe that if I do something then I have to follow a certain path because it was written for normal people. People who aren’t special. People who don’t have tiger blood and Adonis DNA.”

I literally stared at my television with my mouth wide open and my jaw on the floor. I had no idea just how delusional Charlie Sheen has become. And quite frankly, it’s alarming at best. Although I have to admit, Charlie made ONE coherent and rather lucid statement when he said something along the lines of how it’s disturbing when ‘Breaking News’ revolves around what’s been happening in his personal life as opposed to what’s happening in Libya.

Yet clearly, Charlie should NOT be giving live interviews on television. Especially considering his publicist, Stan Rosenfield, recently dropped him as a client. And here’s a little tip, Charlie, please do not speak with the media while you are obviously undergoing crack-cocaine withdrawl. It’s too upsetting to watch.

While I don’t particularly believe the fact that he’s a mega celebrity means he has an obligation to present himself as a role model to the general public. However he most certainly has an obligation to his family and all five of his children.

What’s happening to Charlie is indeed very sad. My heart and sympathy go out to his father Martin Sheen. As a parent myself I can’t even begin to imagine how Martin must feel watching his son, Charlie, completely unravel AND in front of America. It has to be absolutely devastating.

However, this video, makes me laugh out loud, no matter how many times I’ve seen it.

As of late, Charlie has lost his job, he’s lost his children, and seemingly he’s lost his mind. I fear if he continues down this destructive path he’s going to join the ranks of Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson.

I love Charlie Sheen. I never noticed him, really, before all of this started but now that he’s been spouting such awesome warlock wizardry he has become my favorite celebrity. Of. All. Time.

  2. He’s the GIFT that keeps on giving!

  3. Everytime I think I’ve read it all, I see one more quote from him that boggles the mind just that much more. Like this one you posted:

“I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words — imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists.”

I think I will stay away from his octagon. His octagon is a scary, fiery place.

Well, I hate to see it happen. He needs to go away and heal. However….easy blog fodder, so that’s a win.

Charlie Sheen – the best friend a blogger could ever have!

  6. OMG! HA! His octagon IS a scary, fiery place!

  7. It is good blog material. But it’s also really sad.

  8. Random Chick says:

This is Charlie Sheen on meth. He is on the same crazy train that Mel Gibson is on and it’s bound for hell. Hope they have a nice trip.

  9. HeSaidHisTelephoneNumberWas911 says:

It’s a same. I liked him, but he needs to find some help, before he becomes “Charlie Sheen, September 3, 1965 – Xxxxxxx, XX, 2011”. But, at least his blog fodder is giving Christine and Lindsay a break from the spotlight.

  10. HeSaidHisTelephoneNumberWas911 says:

It’s a shame. I liked him, but he needs to get some help, before he becomes “Charlie Sheen, September 3, 1965 – Xxxxxxx, XX, 2011”. But, at least his blog fodder is giving Christina and Lindsay a break from the spotlight.

  11. He’s making Mel Gibson LOOK GOOD.

  12. dcr says:

At first, I thought maybe he had his mind a bit scrambled from coming off drugs and was still mentally riding the crazy train, but now, being somewhat cynical and jaded, I begin to wonder whether it’s a publicity stunt.

The way I see it, if this is all because he’s messed up from getting off drugs or whatever, or if he has some mental illness, then, when/if he gets that taken care of, he may get his job back and be back on the show.

If he’s mentally stable right now and just happens to be very eccentric, well, that’s his prerogative. In that case, he’s not likely to get his job back.

The other option is that it’s all one big publicity stunt. Heck, he’s an actor. He could pull this off. “Two and a Half Men” was a repeat this week, and still beat other shows. More people are watching his various TV appearances to see what he’ll say next. So, if it is a publicity stunt, it’s a win-win for everyone.

But, who knows? The thing is that, with TV, you’re only seeing one side of things. Probably none of us knows what he’s like when the cameras are off. I’ve seen it too many times when people are portrayed in the media completely different from how they are in person. So, it can be difficult to trust what you see on TV, even the presumed unscripted interviews.

  13. I can’t watch him in interviews now. It’s just too sad. Why is the media pursuing him like this? I really don’t get it. I had never seen his show “Two and a Half Men” until this week. He’ very good. It’s a shame. I hope he gets the help he needs.

  14. Saelen says:

I missed it and after reading his quotes maybe I’m glad. i hate to see anyone go off the deep end.

Glad you’re back and feeling recharged. Take care.

  16. Chuckde147 says:

Just watch his movie “Navy Seals” …….. you’ll get it ! (and that was eons ago)

  17. I just think his brain is fried from smoking too much crack.

  18. He’s the one going to the media demanding to set the record straight.
And he’s NOT doing a very good job!

  19. Thanks, Saelen. I am feeling a little better.
My heart breaks for his family.

  20. MomZombie says:

More and more I look away from the celebrity train wrecks whether they are real or engineering for publicity.

  22. Rachele says:

You’re right about him ending up like Anna Nicole and MJ. My question is… Whay are we all watching it? I think he has a far better chance of “recovering” if we all just ignore him. Giving him this time in the spotlight is wrong. Let’s all just go down to the train tracks and wait for two trains to collide. At least then we could try and help.

  23. Linda R. says:

Well said. I, too, have great sympathy for Martin Sheen, whom I have admired for years.

  24. Amybartndr says:

i only watched a few minutes, but that was a few minutes too many! and, as i watched those few minutes all i could think was, “what does denise salzano think now?????!!!!!”

  25. Amybartndr says:

i didn’t even understand half of what i heard him say, i mean, what the f is,”his octagon???”, is that a common phrase people use that i’ve never her to describe space??? i almost felt like when i got the gist of what he was saying just by the context that I WAS CRAZY for understanding!!! and “fire breathing fists?????” WHAT???
i hope dcr was correct that he is acting AND this is all a publicity stunt, cause if his children’s moms wanted full custody they could just bring that 20/20 interview into court!

  26. I don’t WANT to look, MomZombie. But I just CAN’T look away.

  27. You make a very good point.
All this media coverage is almost like rewarding his behavior.

  28. I truly can’t imagine what MARTIN is going through.
I only hope he’s NOT watching these interviews with Charlie.

  29. AHAHHAHAHhHAhAHHAHHHAHHAHHAHHAHHHa
OMG. Amy, that just made me laugh so hard I choked on my coffee.
Yeah, this weekend, let’s find out from Denise if she STILL loves him.

  30. I totally agree about his poor family. He must be such an embarrassment for his father (who is the only Sheen I know really) and as you say, it must break his heart.

  31. His kids were REMOVED from his house the morning after the 20/20 Interview.
    For. Real.

I don’t think this is a publicity stunt.
Too many people are loosing too much money over his shenanigans.

  32. 00dozo says:

Although I said this somewhere else, I saw a 30-second preview of the Sheen interview last night and that’s about all I needed to see. I didn’t realize until later today that Charlie was the theme at Tribal today. Gah! (Apparently I not only live on a rock, I live under one as well.) Let us hope he does not appear on 60 Minutes this Sunday.
    😉

  33. I can’t even imagine.

  34. This morning’s interview AFTER they took his kids away, he actually seemed,
dare I say, almost Normal. He was controlled, and concerned, and NOT
    flipping out like a maniac.

  35. I was wondering who his publicist was and if Sheen was getting advice from him or not about all this or if he was completely going rogue with the interviews.

  36. I love his shirts. Always have. Actually I think they need to just stop reporting on him and see what happens – it is almost feeding him I think. What really struck me is I saw a “death watch” for Charlie Sheen… I think it was on Twitter.. it was something like, “Will he die within 6 months or does he have longer.” That is a terrible thing for anyone to put out there, no matter how much a person is in a downward spin. BUT… he is very entertaining to watch in a sad way – those quotes of his are unbelievable. I wonder if he will shave his head?

  37. Silverneurotic says:

I don’t know why, but the last few days Charlie Sheen has been ALL my parents and I have been talking about at dinner, it’s strange as we almost never talk about pop culture-yet, Sheen has taken over our dinner time conversations.

  38. territerri says:

Oh, I caught some of his statements too, and it is really scary to hear the words come out of his mouth. I hope he gets help.

  39. Charlie to me is like digital herpes, the gift that keeps on giving. It amazes me how many people have followed his every exploit to the tune of 1 million Twitter followers in 24 hours. Hell it only took me a year to get 13k. I am so over the rock star from mars.

  40. Ron says:

Well, you’re not going to believe this, but because I literally watch NO TV or read the newspaper much, I had no idea this was going on with Mr. Sheen. However, in the past two weeks I’ve read more about him on so many blogs and I’m totally blown away by the way he’s acting. OMG, it’s as if he is purposely trying to destroy himself and career. Not to mention all the pain he’s putting his family through.

“means he has an obligation to present himself as a role model to the general public. However he most certainly has an obligation to his family and all five of his children.”

You said it, girl! I totally agree!

It’s sad to see someone who had a brilliant career ruin his life through drugs.

I can only imagine what his father thinks of all of this.

You know? It’s stories like this that make me feel better about my fitness as a parent. His poor kids!

Charlie has a First Class ticket on the Crazy Train.
I was debating who was was futher out there on that trail.. Mel Gibson or Gary Busey and I think Charlie is winning.
I guess he’s having a Topper Harley moment.
