Happy Father’s Day, 2011

Happy Father’s Day to all of the daddy’s out here!

Ya’ll seriously do NOT get enough credit for everything you do.

At least I know my dad certainly doesn’t.

And that’s why I’s like to share this with him, and you.

Dear Daddy,

You are my hero. You are forever my role model. You have been my protector and my safe harbor. You have given me so much ‘Comic Relief’ my time with you is always filled with laughter. But, I also want to Thank You, Daddy.

Thank you for everything you have ever done for me, and my son. Thank you for believing in me, standing by me, and supporting me. Your unconditional love has been more than enough. Not only did you save my life nearly 15 years ago, but you gave me a life. A life that I want to live.

You have taught me some of the most important lessons, like what it truly means to be an important part of a real family, and how to take pride in a hard day’s work. When I look at you, I see a man whose honor and integrity shines above all others. I can only hope that my son grows up to be half the man you are. I wish there was some grand gesture, or words bigger than ‘I LOVE YOU’ to express just how much I value, treasure, and cherish our relationship. Because I want you to know just how special you are to me.

You are The Family I have always wanted.
You are The Father I have always needed.
And, I love you.

Happy Father’s Day.
