HELLO … IT’S ME …

HELLO

IT’S ME

AND I’M STILL ADDICTED TO WATCHING TOO MUCH TV …

It’s been a while.

Yeah.

Like, a really long while.

Whatevs.

I’m not going to waste anyone’s time with details, excuses, or dramatic re-enactments explaining my disappearance. Aint nobody got time for that.

However?

And, luckily for y’all…

My undying love – for all things television – has NOT been compromised.

not. even. a. little.

In fact – during my unexplained absence – my love affair with TV has grown even stronger.

With the newest viewing options; from cable and networks providing ondemand capabilities – to Smart TV’s and RoKu apps, such as: Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime?

I’ve inevitably developed a sixth-sense. For real, people. I’ve been given a gift. Finding the most awesome television shows, ever.

Some people read fortunes, see the dead, or communicate with the other side. Other people provide stock options, develop retirement plans, or figure out super fancy shit with money. Some people learn. Some people teach. Some people have degrees. And some people just flip burgers or mop floors.

I am not any of those people.

I’m just a television junkie. Committed to all things TV since 1974.

And I am here to give you the inside info.

1. I’ll let you know when something is worthy of binge-watching. And I’ll give you the reasons why.
2. I’ll let you know when something is NOT worthy of binge-watching. And I’ll give you those reasons why

Why?
Because I’m nice like that.

On the other hand?

I am NOT going to research facts, or spend hours perusing IMBD, or spend one second looking up Rotten Tomato or other notable Critic Scores. I am NOT going to read reviews before, during, or after – watching any show, on any venue, ever.

This is just an unbiased and un-researched television junkie’s blog.

That. Is. All.

So…

Brew some coffee, or pour yourself a cocktail, and let’s watch too much TV, together, again! Hope y’all enjoy my recommendations, as much as I enjoy watching these shows.

Oh Meleah…how nice to see your blog come up on my feed reader. Miss ya! Any-who….I, too, have my various TV addictions as well. Currently I am binging on Investigation Discovery channel. Seriously becoming a problem. I might be seeking professional help soon to ween me off of it. I didn’t realize that there were so many sick people out there that a channel can run 24 hours a day 365 days a year and never repeat a crime story. Netflix and Amazon aren’t helping me stay focused on things I should be doing other than watching TV either. Damn them.

Nice to see you writing again. We all have our hobbies. I have found a couple of new shows this year,so far I seem to be liking and hope they last a few seasons. Timeless and Lethal Weapon. Timeless, I like, probably because I was a social studies teacher but you don’t have to be into history, it has you know, mystery and looks like some love story brewing,oh and fantasy too. Lethal Weapon, I like because it has kept it action packed with the comedy and heart in it. I hope they can maintain all that balance. Can’t wait to read all your suggestions and insights.

Meleah who? Seriously, nice to read you again. This year I’m into Westworld, Madam Secretary, Designated Survivor, Bull and The Circus. And it’s mostly all On Demand ’cause this old guy’s in bed by 8:30.

  4. ID TV RULES, YO! RULES!!!!!!!!! And yes, it’s highly problematic = addictive! LOL

  5. I will TOTALLY check both of those out. Actually Timeless is ALREADY on my list! XOXO

  6. “Meleah who?” – AHHAHHAH – Right?

Also? Westworld is CRAZY TOWN! And such a cool, new, never been done before concept!

I’ve only watched 2 episodes of DS, mostly because I haven’t had time to watch more, but, it’s the FIRST TIME, since the movie “Stand By Me” that I *like* Kiefer Sutherland! The others are being added to my list right now! Thank you, my friend! God I’ve missed this!

  7. There is TOO much good TV, not enough time. Keeping into my simple needs Netflix has been a boon for my SciFi binges; XFiles, Star Trek (still running TOS and Enterprise episodes), Marvel series, Cheers (yes, on it these days revisiting old times!). All that plus the Walking Dead and The Strain – the only two shows I make time on a late Sunday for.

Awesome to read a post from you, be well! 🙂

I’m addicted to TV, too, to escape the election. Westworld and The Circus for drama. Life in Pieces and Modern Family (and Seinfeld) for laughs.

  9. Oh man! Who doesn’t LOVE Cheers! and Netlix!! 🙂 SO GOOD to see you, my friend!!!

  10. Modern Family and Seinfeld are STAPLES!! I LOVE them both!! Been giving Westworld a chance, just got caught up with all episodes. LOVE that it’s such a fresh idea – and never thought I’d like ANYTHING western AND sci-fi! But more on THAT SHOW, on MELEVISION when I write my real/full review!!!

So happy to my Jersey girl back live and in action on the interwebs. Now tell me what to watch…
