I like to think I spend a lot of time reflecting on all of the things I have to be grateful for. And I do. But, it’s not all that often that I write those things down. So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’d like to share my gratitude list.
The Top 43 Things I Am Grateful For:
1. My 15 year old son, Justin. For he is truly the light of my life, even when he drives me nuts.
2. My Mother and My Father. Their undying love and support forever amazes me. And, for providing a roof over my head, food in my stomach, and the never-ending supply of toilet paper and laundry detergent. No, seriously. Thank you for that.

4. My Best Friends. You all know who you are.
5. The Written Word.
6. My Blog.
7. Your Blogs: Because each and every one of you [at one time or another] have made me laugh, made me cry, held my hand, inspired me, and taught me so very much.

*What are some of the things YOU are grateful for this year?
I find it boosts my spirits a bit to see you positive; if you can feel that good about life, even with the many health problems you’ve had recently, the rest of us can’t help but be inspired. I hope your holiday season is a very good one.
Awwww!
Thank you, Robert!
Amen to all that! I am thankful for you my friend ?
I love that it is 41 things LOL. You are too cute!
Your positivity still amazes me and I hope you have a fabulously fantastical Thanksgiving 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving Meleah!
I am sofa king thankful to YOU to Shawn!
Can you believe we’ve known each other for FIVE YEARS now?
I love you, Mo!
A LOT!
Seriously.
And I am VERY thankful for our Monday Night Smack Talks!
xoxoxo
Thanks, Shawn!
🙂
Without being overly mushy and causing myself to do an extremely ugly cry, you have become such an intricate part of my day to day existence. You really are such a good friend and it would be sooooooooooo bizarre to not at least talk/communicate/laugh with you in some way at least once a day. And I seriously will never look at Monday nights the same way ever again. 🙂
Okay, great!
Now I am crying.
Because I feel the SAME way about YOU!
And, seriously, when I received those flowers from you
I literally SOBBED tears of JOY and GRATITUDE.
[which is probably WHY I look totally possessed in the photo.]
And, because of our friendship?
Monday Nights are MY FAVROITE day of the week.
*grabs tissues*
What wonderful things to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving, sweet thing! Hope you have fun with that dysfunctional family of yours 🙂
Happy TG!
That’s a great list! I’m grateful for my rent-stabilized apartment in New York City. And, of course, beer! Have a great Thanksgiving with your family, Meleah!
What am I thankful for? Boobs.
I suppose there are other things as well. I suppose I may have to steal your idea and write a blog about it. 🙂
What a great idea – making note of some of the things that you are thankful for. Me? Aside from the obvious things, like a roof over my head, my kids and family, I am thankful for my dog, a down comforter on the bed, fun friends and coworkers, having my extended family physically close by me… just to name a few.
Thanks, Nicky!
xoxoxo

I would kill for a rent-stabilized apartment!
Happy T-Day, Marty!

XOXO
What a great list, you truly have so much to be thankful for. You are blessed that your family and friends have given so much to make your life what it is, especially the laughter. I’m thankful for your brains, your sense of humor, and your camera and blog, that have given us a view into your ever interesting and entertaining life. And I’m thankful to have you as a friend.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family too, meleah.
That is an impressive and diverse list of. When we stop to think about it, we DO have a lot to be thankful for. Oftentimes it is only the big things that make our lists, but life is made up mostly of the little things. Topping my list are my family, friends, health, cats, and living a comfortable life. Again, those are the big things. Many on your list ring true with me, too. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Some of these are really great. I really liked the ones that most people take for granted like mason jars and bendy straws. It is great that you can appreciate things like that.
That is a great list, Meleah. I am thankful that I found your blog! There is a huge gratitude list in my head, but in terms of the big stuff, right now I just have to be thankful for having my family and our home. That is enough for me. Now I could be thankful for some bling and several pounds of belgian chocolate, if I had the chance….
Thank You !
Ron, I am VERY MUCH looking forward to meeting you in Real Life!
Awwwww!
I am thankful for our friendship, Jim. You have been such an important part of my life. And I always I look forward to receiving your emails / texts.
🙂
Thank you, Linda! May you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I LOVE my “Mason Jar” – I drink out of it every day, filled with ice water & a bendy straw!
“I could be thankful for some bling and several pounds of belgian chocolate”
HA!! Me too!
You’re welcome!
I’m thankful for you, Monday nights and really good crappy reality TV. 🙂 Love you!
AMEN!
?
Seriously. You rock.
And we will, my friend.
We WILL. I just know it!
X
And it will be AWESOME!
Can’t beat that last one.
Especially since I almost died, in July!
I believe that being thankful for ALL good things in our lives, however small, makes us far happier human beings.
Agreed, Babs. Agreed!
You forgot KHCC!
Love is so far down the list! Hmmm I guess I can see that… You do have a lot to be thankful for!
My Best Wishes to you and your dysfunctional family, from me and my dysfunctional family!
