Soooooooooo….. THIS HAPPENED!!

After a GRUELING 8 months of studying (8-10 hours per day) online Zoom classes, in person (on campus) classes, real-life-clinincals, taking countless test & quizzes & assessments, making 1 billion flashcards/charts/word documents/excel spread sheets — and enduring 24/7 anxiety/panic attacks — DURING A PANDEMIC?

I woke up at 4:45am to take my STATE EXAMS (540 questions in total — from 9am to 5pm) on HALLOWEEN, during a FULL MOON, with the TIME CHANGE and I passed with FLYING COLORS!

I needed a 390 PER test.

And here are MY scores:

CCMA = 445
CPCT = 441
Phlebotomy = 440
EKG = 460

I am officially: #NHA #CERTIFIED

#CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant)

#CPCT-A (Certified Patient Care Technician Assistant)

#CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician)

#CET (Certified EKG Technician)

AND #CPR certified too!!

That being said, I am BEYOND EXHAUSTED. And quite frankly, when I woke up this morning, I still couldn’t believe that I passed the tests. I couldn’t believe “it’s over” and I couldn’t believe that I didn’t have to study, or take another exam.

And I had NO IDEA what the F*CK to do with myself!!

So, I slept in.
And it was wonderful.

My only plans for the day? My BFF Claudia was picking me up at 3pm and we were going out for an early relaxing/fancy sea-food dinner. Fine by me.

LITTLE DID I KNOW — WHAT WAS ABOUT TO GO DOWN!

Claudia and my closest friends & family have been in kahoots with each other for the past month planning something special for me. And I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING HOLY … I HAD NO CLUE. These sneaky bastards TRULY tricked me. Not only did Claudia surprise THE LIFE out of me … she opened her home and hosted my family to celebrate me.
