Pink Eye
Great. I have pink eye, in BOTH eyes.
That makes it very hard to read, write, blog or even watch TV. I can’t even drive my car.
There goes my whole weekend.
*Update: My doctor prescribed these crazy eye drops that burn like a mother f*cker. However they do allow me to open my eyes and have lifted the gluacoma like film that was blinding me. I still cannot insert contact lenses nor do I own the proper glasses for normal vision. But, I am going to try and squint my way around some blogs. I miss the internet!

Friday Funnies: CIGARETTES AND TAMPONS
A man walks into a pharmacy and wanders up & down the aisles.
The sales girl notices him and asks him if she can help him.
He answers that he is looking for a box of tampons for his wife.
She directs him down the correct aisle.
A few minutes later, he deposits a huge bag of cotton balls and a ball of
string on the counter.
She says, confused, “Sir, I thought you were looking for some tampons for
your wife?
He answers, “You see, it’s like this, yesterday, I sent my wife to the store
To get me a carton of cigarettes, and she came back with a tin of tobacco
And some rolling papers; cause it’s sooo-ooo–oo-ooo much cheaper.
So, I figure if I have to roll my own ………. So does she.
(I figure this guy is the one on the milk carton!)

7 Things You Do NOT Know About Me.
(This one is going to be hard, I think I’ve told ya’ll everything about me!)
1. I Don’t Like Going To The Beach
[Its just too much ‘work’ for me. Finding a parking space, carrying all those chairs, the sand that you can never fully wash off for weeks….]
2. I Only Drink Out Of One Cup (It’s A Glass Mason Jar w/ A Straw)

[I have never been able to ‘learn from others mistakes’. I learn from my own HANDS ON experience. When I do fuck-up, or make a mistake, I fuck-up BIG TIME. However, once I do learn my lesson, I never have to repeat the same mistake.]

The Flu
Well, now that I am home from vacation…I am sick.
Again.
I climbed into bed on Sunday evening and I haven’t been able to get out of bed ever since. I have a fever of 102, a runny nose, a cough, and I am exhausted. I think I have The Flu.
Sigh.

And I’ve never been happier.
Today I will be unpaking, tackling the laundry, catching up on American Celebrity Gossip via The E Channel, watching the House & Dexter episodes that I missed while I was away, and visiting your blogs.

Good Bye Mexico
While its been wonderful on vacation, we’ve had tons of fun, lots of sun, and loads of laughs, I am ready to leave. I miss the small things like watching television. I miss sleeping in my own bed. I miss my friends. I miss fabreeze & scented candles. I miss all of the things that make home…well, HOME.
[By the time ya’ll read this, I will be boarding an airplane *biting off my fingernails* and heading back to good ole’ New Jersey. I wonder…how cold it is there?]
Thanks to everyone who left comments on my Vacation Blog Posts & Flickr Photos. I am sure they were very boring for you. And thank you to all of those blog pals of mine that kept me company on Twitter & Facebook while the rest of my family was sleeping. xoxo

The Mayan Ruins
My family and I traveled out to tour the Mayan Ruins in Copan Mexico.
I have to tell you, I really tried to get into the spirit of this event.
According to The Mayan Ruins website: The art of Copan surpasses that of the Petén and is strikingly individual. The beautifully carved fragments of its buildings lie scattered on the slopes of its pyramids like the pieces of a gigantic jigsaw puzzle in stone.
According to me, this can only be considered a ‘good time’ if you really enjoy walking for miles and miles, with dust kicking up on your face, with a baby brigade, to look at stairs and rocks.
And then some More Stairs And Rocks.
And wait, look…
More Stairs. And Rocks.
I am not what you would call an ‘active person’ by any stretch of the imagination. This map does not inform unsuspecting patrons that most of the walking is on extremely uneven ground. [Not exactly suitable for people with strollers.] Less than halfway through this ‘Tour Of Rocks And Stairs’ we were pretty much done with the ‘historic lesson’ from nineteen-o-never.
Alas, there was something that made the journey, the walking, the dust, the rocks, the sore lower back, the stiff joints, the crying babies, and the lack of oxygen to my brain worth it to me. It was only by sheer happenstance that I manged to stumble upon this little gem.
As we wandered aimlessly, without a tour guide, I noticed a group of people taking photos of a particular rock. This rock was different from all the other rocks. If you were to look directly at the rock, from the front, to the untrained eye, you will see what I can only guess was a carving of someone important back in 300AD.
But, if you looked at it from the side, like I did, you will see what I saw.
And this my friends made my day.
And then my knee caps fell right off.
All kidding and joking aside, it was actually pretty fascinating to be in a place with that much history. I suppose if we had a tour guide explaining what I was looking at, I would have had a different experience. Nonetheless, it was most excellent to spend the day with my family in such a unique setting.
[On a completely unrelated note, I would like to take this moment to extend a very special Happy Birthday Wish to my friend Christine. Please pay a visit to her blog and wish her a happy one too.]
