Yes, people. I am officially ‘Back’ from my week long ‘Blog Vacation’. And oh man, I’ve really missed you! So what did I do for a whole week? Well I didn’t go anywhere ‘Tropical’, and I didn’t really do anything all that ‘Special’. However I did enjoy the following:
1. I played a lot of Golf with great friends. I even hit a few decent shots. Yay. Me.
2. I helped my mother set-up and host a Family Get Together. And it was awesome to see my Aunts and Uncles that I don’t get to visit with very often.
3. I witnessed friends of mine get Married. And I cried.
4. I helped promote a fellow blogger’s ‘Talk Show Audition’ called Small Talk with incessant Tweets and Facebook Updates. And I think you should help him out too.
5. I had a much-needed Girls Night Out also known as ‘Hair Fest 2010’. Sadly, I promised NOT to post the embarrassing pictures of my friends with hair products on their heads.
6. I took my grandfather Poppa Sye to ‘Physical Therapy’. And I am very pleased to announce that he is doing MUCH better. His speech is slowly improving even though his balance is still pretty off‘.
7. I drove a car full of teenagers To and From the ‘8th Grade School Dance’ [and subsequent ‘Pre-Parties’ and ‘After-Parties’] wherein I discovered the true definition of ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit.’ Actually, I spent much of my ‘Vacation Time’ driving my son all over the place. We went to the Dentist, Guitar Lessons, Video Game Shopping, to The Mall, to the Tailors, to his friend’s houses. And that’s exactly when I began counting down the years, months, and days, until he gets his own Drivers License.
8. I wrote a few Television Blog Posts, including: The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and the A&E show Obsessed.
9. After cleaning out my car for the first time in about a decade, I found out that I do NOT suffer from ‘Night Blindness’. It turns out I just had a really dirty windshield.
10. I laughed a lot.
11. I slept a lot.
12. I ate a lot.
And now that I am back on the Internet? I will be busy playing ‘Catch Up’. I’m off to start reading and commenting on all of your blogs. In fact, I’m probably leaving you a comment right now!
Welcome back! Looks like you had a busy week, but I'm glad you're back on.
It sounds like you had a great week. I hope you enjoyed your time off. I am glad to hear that Poppa Sye is doing better. It must be so frustrating for him.
Welcome back, Meleah. And thank you for the shout out on my audition tape.
For everyone who votes for me, I am reserving a backstage pass for a future show when I become host.*
*this offer not valid if this actually happens because I'll be all famous and crap and attending parties and stuff
THANKS!!
Glad you are back! You will be thrilled when your son can drive!! Now, I am off to read your New Jersey post, you know I am a sucker for the Housewives of…..
Jeez, lady. I got tired just reading about your week. Glad you had a good time.
Welcome back! The Internet missed you, but it sounds like you kept busy with fun and important “real-life” stuff. Glad to hear Poppa Sye is doing better.

I bet you can't wait until your son starts to drive. I too counted down the minutes and then he got his license and totaled my car within four hours. I needed a new car anyway. Glad you are back!
That'll teach me to read fast.
Read #2, which said “mother set-up” and then had to read #3 twice, because on the first go-thru, I swore I read “I got Married.” And I thought, wow!, I've missed a lot…
Glad to see your pretty face is back! It sounds like you had fun between running around that you had to do and I'm so glad things are looking up for Poppa!
Shut. Up. For real? He totaled your car within 4 hours of getting his license? YIKES!!!!

Ya gotta wait for the second performance on the video !!
Thanks Joe!
Thanks Jayne. No wonder I'm sick and exhausted. All that Real Life stuff kicks my ass!
Hahaha! I love No. 7! I couldn't wait for my sons to get their own transport, either! LOL!
I'm glad to hear your Poppa Sye is doing well! I hope he continues to improve! It's all about perseverance and practice, isn't it?

xoxoxo
I missed you here but feel like I didnt miss you at all…….I see you on FB all the time!! lol
I seriously would lose my mind if FB all of a sudden closed shop and shut down. Can you imagine??? lol
Good to see you back girl!!
Yeah, I can go ONE WEEK without blogging, but there is NO WAY I can make it 7 days without Facebook!
xoxoxo <3
Welcome back Maleah, it sounds like you got a lot accomplished. I am dreading yet looking forward to my kids being able to drive themselves places. How many extra hours will I have in the day when I no longer have to do that?
The things we could get done without the internet 😀 Welcome back Meleah 😀
Welcome back, Mel! We've missed you.
We've had to resort to reading other peoples blogs and CNN newsfeeds :(…
Glad you've had time to relax and unwind.
Now get back to work! More blogposts. More stories. More pictures (just a few pics from Hair Fest 2010? Pleeeeze? I promise not to tell…).
And don't be in a hurry to get JCH his license. Just another set of worries to deal with…
Glad to see you're back!
Im thinking YOU will have MANY extra hours when that day comes in your life!
🙂
In truth, I am terrified of letting him drive. Ever!
But, I sure would have more free time.
Since I am back, I PROMISE I will write more blogs, and I will post more
photos, but I just can't betray my BFF with the secret hair fest pictures.
[Sorry!]
Thanks for always being such a loyal reader and one of my biggest
supporters!
And the internet, clearly, welcomes YOU back. And middle school graduations have pre-parties AND after-parties? Good God, I don't even remember having a middle school graduation. Why do they fill up people's lives with so much STUFF!!!!!!??????
Actually that was just for the School Dance! His Graduation isn't until this Friday. Of course, he's got pre-parties and after parties on that day, along wiht three different parties for the weekend thereafter. Maybe I can hire someone to help me handle some of these driving responsibilities! Because this is getting Out Of Control.
I think when I graduated 8th grade all I got was a bad report card!
Glad you're back. I am so pleased to hear Poppa Sye is doing better. I know what you mean about the driving around. I am thinking of getting a chauffeur's cap. I cry at weddings too. I just can't help myself!
Glad to read that Poppa Sye is doing much better now. He will surely get better. All that driving around must have been quite hectic. I have my fair share of driving my niece and nephews around too. It was kind of fun though.
Keep your dream going! 🙂
I took some time off too from blogging, but that was only because all my kids got done with school. I have to be round the clock referee and it gets nuts. I am so glad your Poppa Sye is doing better- that is good news and makes me happy.
