I have decided I need to seriously learn to write …

I have decided I need to seriously learn to write better and FAST, if I plan on blogging ever again.

My son received a wonderful gift from my grandfather… children’s dictionary… however; I am finding it rather useful for myself… Hey, we all have to start somewhere; at least I want to better myself… right? Isn’t it better to KNOW that you suck, and WORK to improve, even if it does make me feel like a fucking moron when I am reading a CHILDRENS dictionary!

I don’t know what’s wrong with me lately, other than, there are about 100 different things I’d RATHER be doing, and WEARING PJS while doing it.

UGH!

There are 10000000000 mommy-blogs (yes I am a MOM) but NOOO, I do not want to BLOG about that…

1. I can not even compare to the caliber of writing skills those women have when writing about their children

2. Sometimes, it’s too fucking boring

So, that’s that…

Sneak reading other peoples blogs so I can feel like more of a loser, and oh yes, I did bring the dictionary to work with me, so I have something to look forward to at LUNCH time.

PS: My right knee is killing me stiffly; I can’t read unless it’s typed in large print, I have 15 new grey hairs and I am 31 years old…cause for concern?

I was always impressed with the story of Malcolm X and how while in prison he copied BY HAND the entire Webster’s dictionary TWICE. I don’t suggest you try that but I think it does follow your thread about improving…

It’s been my experience that the more honest and revealing writers always get me. Henry Miller, Henry Rollins, Bukwoski, Hunter S. Thompson, Mark Twain, they all had something to say and just said it. There was no apology for it. They also recognized the bullshit of 9 to 5 living. Once you see it that way it’s something that can’t be undone. You can work, but you’re always gonna see most jobs for what they are: nothing much. That’s not to say that they (those writers) didn’t/don’t have a very strong work ethic, it’s just that they understood where to best apply it. From Thompson’s stint in the Air Force to Rollins’ stint as a mgr. in an ice cream store before becoming the lead singer of Black Flag to Bukowski’s neverending stream of dead end job to Miller’s Cosmodemonic Telegraph Co., they all knew that where they were at that time was very far from the destination, very far from where they wanted to be.

The question is: do you know what you want and how to get it?

I gotta sort thru some writing samples…thanks for adding me!

Thank you… I doubt I will have time / energy to COPY the dictonary, but, I will READ it, until I grasp some new words!

I know what I want. I dont know how to get it.

    Hey hon!

Feel better tomorrow 🙂 I gave Kerri (talkative one from NH) your email, btw, b/c you liked each other and b/c she can give you the “single mom/married mom” perspective of town if you want.

I LOVE ALL YOUR WORDS/THOUGHTS, EVEN IF THEY DON’T SEEM INTERESTING TO YOU, OR ANYONE ELSE.

YOU HAVE ALOT TO SAY ABOUT EVERYTHING, OK?
NOT A LITTLE TO SAY ABOUT NOTHING.
