I Can Haz The Flu
This entry was posted in Strong Medicine. Bookmark the permalink.
Seriously? I know it’s going around, but you just can’t catch a (health) break! Cuddle up and get well now (not soon, but now.)
Oh Meleah, WTF! Enough already! Stay warm, fluids, chicken soup, and rest. You’ll be better soon!
Last week, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday I felt really achy and very tired. And I thought maybe I was just having a rheumatoid arthritis / sjogren’s / lupus flair up because of the cold-rainy-snowy-weather and that’s why my body hurt so much.
But, when I went to see my doctor on Friday for a “well check” and to get my weekly vitamin injections, my temperature was 101.1 and my glands were swollen. Apparently, I am so used to feeling like shit, I didn’t even realize I had a fever.
I’ve been in bed since Friday afternoon and taking antibiotics along with the rest of my crazy medications.
As of right now, my fever is down from 101 to 99.7 which is a good sign. But my whole body is still so sore and all of my joints/muscles hurt. I feel as though I had a killer work out at the gym – except that I haven’t exercised in over 2 years.
Thank you, my darling internet sister.
My doctor said this could last up to 14 days, but I sure hope not!
xoxox
I know you can, but I wish you didn’t =( Feel better!!
Dislike!!
Take care of you, I hope you’re feeling better soon!
Sorry to hear this, Meleah. Try my flu-cure, chicken soup and shots of vodka. Feel better soon!
This sucks.
Thank you, Abby.
๐
Good idea!
I hope you feel better. I like Marty’s cure for the flu. I would add: vodka and orange juice.
I like Marty’s idea too.
However, I’m allergic to oranges.
๐
Then vodka shots it is.
Lolz!
Aww, Meleah! I’m soo sorry! I remember how rotten I felt when I had it! I sure hope you’re feeling better soon!
OK sick chick, enough already! You’ve had a year’s worth of this crap already, so you’re done for a while , right? Now back to chicken soup and vodka. Get better soon. <3
OMG, Meleah…on top of ALL that you’ve gone through these past two months, and now this?!?!?!
Yeah, definitely sucks!
Sending a HUGE hug of ‘good energy’ for a speedy recovery…
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( You ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Feel better.
X ya, girl!
This is brutal.
xoxoxo
Thanks, Ron.
I know I got this sick from going to so many doctors appointments last week. WITH ALL OF THE OTHER SICK PEOPLE!
OXOXOXOXO
Be extra careful this flu is super bad and you don’t need anymore complications.
Nope I cannot accept that diagnosis. Mel’s had enough crap this year and should be exempt from the flu. You need to get a 2nd opinion (does mine count?). You tell that nasty old flu to kiss your asspirations – you don’t have time for this BS.
I’d vote for Marty’s and Lauren’s remedies. Vodka and something else. Hope you are able to kick this quickly.
So sorry to hear you’re not feeling well! ๐ I hope the flu moves on quickly and you’re feeling better soon.
NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOO!!! You better be better for Bachelor…. it is the FINALE for heaven’s sakes!
Get well soon!
Feel better, beautiful girl!
<3 <3 <3
Meleah, I can’t believe this. I didn’t get on the computer yesterday…because …wait for it…I had the flu. We share a brain and viruses. I hope you are feeling better.
My sympathies to you. I hope you feel better real soon. I’m on my third cold of the season, plus a flu-like virus over New Years. May Spring come quickly and we all get well.
Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. That just sucks!
I am a disaster.
In fact, today, MONDAY? Is the worst I’ve felt, yet.
I am going back to the doctor tomorrow.
๐
xoxo
I will do my VERY best to be semi-conscious for the Bachelor Finale.
I slept for the whole day, just so I can use my two hours of energy to watch it.
Thank you.
xoxox
STFD! Get well soon!
I will attempt to catch up with the internet by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Amen to that.
It really does.
Thank you.
For goodness sakes! Hope you get better real soon!
I am definitely going back to the doctor tomorrow.
I do NOT feel any better.
I actually feel WORSE.
OH NOOOOOS!!! The flu is crappy. I hope you get rid of it really, really quickly, Meleah. And without the cough hanging around forever. Cyber hugs!! xx
xoxox
hey girlfriend. you must be feeling better by now. i think so if i read FB correctly. stopping by to say hello and tell that flu, if you still have it, to shoo! we don’t need no stinkin’ flu.
This has been awful. I was down for the count for about 10 days. I am FINALLY feeling a little better. Going back to the doctor tomorrow for my regularly scheduled vitamin injections and a check up. Here’s hoping I can return to participating in my own life again!
Here via Ron.
I very rarely carry a bag – when I do it’s a tiny one with my phone, a comb, credit cards/DL/cash. But usually I just stick a credit card and my DL in my pocket and carry my phone in my hand. Because I hate having a purse with me! And I probably don’t worry enough about having my house burn down given that it happened to the home I grew up in (with my mother and brother escaping just in time). Instead, I focus my worry on some psychopathic serial rapist/killer breaking in!
Oh I am also obsessed and constantly worried a serial killer / rapist will break into my house too!
PS: Nice to meet you!
Huge bummer! I’m hoping you are now feeling better at this point. I’m actually on the east coast/New England at the moment. And, it’s pretty cold here. Stay warm and get healthy.
I haz seasonal allergies that are beginning to emerge. Not quite the flu, but snotty nonetheless. Hope you feel better soon!
That SUXBUT! Sorry to hear that, Mel! I hope you feel better real real soon!!!
