You could have at least put a cute kitty on top or something.
“Hey, kids, what time is it?” Cowboy Bob never had a digital clock, did he?
Good morning. Nice clock. I like the green numbers!
Is this what time you usually get up after being up all night working on your novel for the xth week, day in a row? 🙂
I love to see this on a digital clock. It always stops me in my tracks.
Tell the truth was this actually the time ordid you change the numbers?
00.00 is a good one too!
Great capture, Meleah! Love the purple walls!
This photo reminded me of a time, exactly a year (and in the month of September) after the World Trade Center tragedy happened, I had looked at my digital clock and it read….9:11. I got CHILLS!
X
Love that clock, great photo!
Eleven-eleven. What a weird time that is. It seems significant somehow, but I can’t think how. I like sleeping until then, that’s for sure.
Nope!
Does anyone know what 11:11 means?
🙂
I used THAT time because you’re supposed to make a wish!
I waited for the clock to turn to 11:11 because that’s when you’re supposed to make a wish.
🙂
Oh, great idea for the theme. My sister and I both always happen to look at the clock when it says 21:11, which happens to be her birthday. (We do day-month-year in Finland.) It’s kind of freaky, really, because it happens almost every day.
Oh snap.
I chose this time because people have been making a wish every time they saw 11:11 or 1:11 on the clock for a ling time. No one’s been able to trace the origins of that one. It was just something they learned on the playground, or from a random relative, or through word of mouth.
🙂
I sleep til noon.
This was taken at night.
And you’re right 11:11 * is * significant. I can’t believe NO ONE else seems to know this!
I, am among the dumb asses that never heard that about 11:11 and making a wish. This is news. I am nearly always up at that time PM so I’ve wasted 2 chances (I am always awake at the 11:11 AM as well) to wish 2 times every day…and this has been going on for years. Explains a lot about my life.
It’s the end of the world as we know it (say the Mayans on the 21 of December 2012) but I feel fine.
That is awesome!!
Well, now you know!
Get to making wishes Cheryl!!
xoxo
It has nothing to do with the end of the world!
Oh, yeah one of the explanations is that’s the time on the 21 of Dec 2012 that the world will end, according to the Mayan calendar. See #3 in this link: http://www.greatdreams.com/numbers/1111/1111.htm
Nice crisp photo!
Oh!!! I used to wait up to see the clock turn 11:11 because I thought it meant good luck! Great idea!!
I never knew about the wish thing either but now that I know, I’m going to wish for more time in this challenge. After that, I probably won’t care.
Fun, meleah!
😉
🙂
Well that has NOTHING to do with WHY I posted this photo.
Especially since I don’t believe the end of the world is coming.
🙂
I posted this picture because you’re supposed to make a WISH at 11:11!
It does mean good luck!
And you’re supposed to make a wish when you see it!
HA!!!
Awesome! We used to make wishes on triple number times 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44 and 5:55. I remember that from high school for some reason. Actually it may be the only thing I remember from high school.
Hooray!
Finally! Someone GETS this photo!
I was beginning to feel like a freak for making a wish at 11:11!!
xoxoxo
Meleah is in the vodka again…hey, how about at 11:11 you wish I had some vodka, too. I ran out. Can you do that for me? Can you wish me out of this horrible predicament I am in and put me in a really wonderful one? Please wish that next time, okay? I’ll send you a My Little Pony – I have a lot of those things for some strange reason.
I agree, I WAS looking for a kitty, maybe scratching at the clock.
You’re funny, Mariann.
And sadly, I haven’t had ANY vodka in weeks. First I had the flu for a week. And these past two weeks I’ve had to deal with a personal injury that requires excessive painkillers and hard core antibiotics.
I will make a wish that I get well soon, and can once again indulge myself with a Grey Goose martini.
This is a pet-free household!
yikes it’s past my nap time…
Well then I’m gonna wish that the world doesn’t end at 11:11pm on Dec 21, 2012. Happy?
🙂
YES!!
PS: you know I’m cranky today!
“This is John Cameron Swayze for Timex. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking!” How many of us hear remember those famous ads from the 50’s. I’m guessing that maybe there were three of us alive then.
Meleah, I have never heard of making a wish at 11:11. Sorry. However, I will start making wishes at 11:11 just for you!
Right around my bedtime.
HOORAY!
And I totally remember that catch phrase!
🙂
I am a little stumped on this one? As usual I am sure I am missing something, clue me in,Oh and it doesn’t help I am looking at this after cocktail hour, my brain is a little, um, what is the word,I will go with tipsy, and waiting for Chipotle!
Here’s to Chipotle!!
And when you see a clock with the time 11:11, it means GOOD LUCK and you’re supposed to make a wish!
And I noticed that “PM” indicator, not that I really had to look…
Of course!
And you also know that’s just about the time I settle down to write!
🙂
