Well, that was quite an impressive tree – wish we had one of those instead of thos horrible pine things.
That image is phenomenal. The starkness is striking, and I love the way the tree just spreads forever, perfectly framed of course.
Beautiful.
Meleah, this is amazing. Such a beautiful tree, and such a beautiful photo. 🙂
What a gorgeous looking tree. Makes for a grew photo, Meleah. You’ve really branched out in this contest, haven’t you.
Wow. Amazing…possibly your best so far.
Wow, sweet thing, that is such a powerful photograph! Amazing. Really amazing!!
Gorgeous tree- gorgeous shot!!! You knocked this one out of the park. Did you climb it?!? I would be in it in a matter of seconds!!! Unless it is on private property – then I would wait til dark and sneak in to climb it!
Absolutely stunning shot of an equally beautiful tree.
It is beyond words how beautiful that is….****speechless***
Wow, what an insane tree. It must look incredible once it’s all leafed out.
I LOVE photos of trees. I have a whole collection.
Nice wood you’ve got there. Â Is that a Birch I spy?
Reminds me of a question that’s been nagging me for a while: Â How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Holy Moly that is a tree!
Oh, my gosh! Is that a Sycamore tree? It is huge. And gorgeous. Like your photo. Lovin’ it!
I think you climbed out on a limb on that one, Dufus.
you have a great eye young lady…love this pic
I love how trees looks so gnarly when leafless. Very good shot, meleah!
😉
That tree is absolutely  “amazeballs”!  🙂
Oh gosh, that’s an incredibly beautiful tree, Meleah. It begs to be climbed.
Wow! What a beauty!
It’s right in front of my country club.
And it’s my favorite tree  EVER.
Why thank you, Mo!
🙂
Thank you, Ziva.
It’s my favorite tree.
Yes! Apparently I have, John!!
You saw this tree, Nicky!
It’s right in front of KHCC.
xoxo
Oh hell no.
I am too afraid of heights to climb any trees.
YAY!
It really is.
Really? That’s awesome!!
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
A LOT.
Right?!
Thank you, Malisa.
I have NO IDEA what kind of tree this is.
Maybe I’ll ask the owner!
I think he did too!
Thank you, Robert!
And thank you SO MUCH for all your tweets!
🙂
Thank you!!
Yes it is!!
Ahahhahahaha!
Then come over here & climb it!
You get a big fat juicy KHCC cheeseburger as your reward.
🙂
You ;could have called this one “Big Wood”.
What an amazing tree! I love this shot!
He he he he!
Thanks, Terri!
It looks like a Sycamore. Could be a birch. Definitely not an aspen. I think those are the only three with the white on the trunks. I once got in trouble with my boss because I signed a petition to stop the chopping down of a Sycamore. Can you believe that horseshit? Well, I did. I got in trouble for other things too, but we are not gonna talk about that right now.
Damn, yo.
That’s CRAZY getting in trouble at work over a tree.
Yikes.
No shit. That was when I started rethinking my profession. The woman who wanted to cut down the tree called a school board member and the school board member called the superintendent who called me. Said that as an educator, I shouldn’t have an opinion in public matters. Whoa! Wrong thing to say to me!
I love that tree!!! There is one so similar – in DC … in the arborium (or soemthing like that… it means a place with trees and ferns.) Anyway – I was going to ask you if it WAS that tree. beautiful.Â
Beautiful!
That tree is actually a bit SCARY! I wonder what it looks like full of leaves… probably beautiful!
