I was down stairs watching TV with ‘The Parents’ last night. I came up to my room around 11pm and found some paperwork on my bed with a sticky note…
Mom,
One of these papers will make you happy
One not so much
And one will piss you off.
Please sign them
I am Sorry
Your son
JCH
He is a smart one!!! What’s the best way to avoid the verbal confrontation? A Sticky Note!!! LOL!! Gotta give him credit 🙂
Chef Mom:
And he even used my obsession for sticky notes! He avoided me all night …and now I know why!
OMG… I love it… You CANNOT get mad at him… he’s much too funny 😀
Dawn:
This makes it impossible to ‘Ground’ him. The “one not so much” line had me rolling.
Good that your son knows you well or should I say knows the reaction that you may have. It also shows a lot of honesty. You must have a great relationship with your son.
LOL I have his twin!
sounds like a chip off the old block,,, eh????
Urban:
We have an amazing relationship. I am very LUCKY.
Jodi:
ha ha ha ha ha Yes YOU do!
Paisley:
I was never smart enough to write cute notes. I just got all defensive and would yell at my mom back when I was age 11. He is the smart one!
Um, I think our sons are related – that sounds exactly like my son. As a matter of fact, I am needing a break from parenting. Can I send him to live with you for about 2 years 🙂 He’s 17, you can send him back when he grads from HS.
UGH! I never imagined how hard parenting will be I had that cute little bundle of joy in my arms.
Barbara:
I love you and your blog…but there is No Way I could take on a 17 year old! I can barley handle this 11 year old! I had no idea what I was getting into when I signed up to be a parent either. This is the hardest job On The Planet. (Thankfully I only have ONE child, and I intend to keep it that way!)
LOL… I love the note. How COULD you be mad at that???
Jillian:
He is getting a Free Pass on this one!
He’s going to be very successful in life with skills like that!
agreed! too cute!
Embrace is cleverness. It could make you millions one day!!!
😉
Michael C:
I am sucking up every second of it. I hope one day he becomes a millionaire.
(And that he is “happy” )
that’s adorable. you should keep him. . .
I plan on keeping him FOREVER…maybe even LONGER.
that young man has moxie…:)))))
and thats what I love about him. he he he he
A salesman in the making. 🙂
A smarty pants like his mom 😉
Lisa:
ha ha ha ha…I guess so!
Leslie:
True Dat! xxoo xxoo
ROFL again. That’s funny. At least your son knows. I would go into the other room and laugh then come back and sign them with a straight face.
Valerie:
I was never able to muster up the Straight Face. He managed to get a Free Pass!
Good move JCH !! I like your style !! 😉
ha ha ha…thats is such a classic JCH move
Gotta love his honesty! And, I bet that note made you smile (even if you were pissed).
Momo:
The smile on my face outweighed any pissy-ness (new word?)
In some families, one for three would be a godsend.
I am a lucky mommy.
