Time Management

For both personal and professional reasons, I will not be posting as often as I have been. I will do my best to post 3 times a week. However, I am under a huge amount of pressure at work these days. I have been so busy that I am have been too burnt out to do much else. My hearts desire to finish writing my book has also become far more important to me. I love this blog and all of my readersÒ€¦ I just have to slow it down a bit.

  1. YEAH!
Honestly, I love this blog, but I REALLY want to buy your book.

  2. Micki says:

Me too! I will miss you being around, but I want you to write that book more.
My last comment on the last post was just my last comment on that particular topic. I think we may have exhausted that one! I didn’t mean that I was abandoning your blog.

  3. Meleah says:

MICKI: Oh Thank goodness… I agree that topic has been beaten to death! I will still be HERE just not a new post EVERY day. Its too much running TWO blogs all the time!

RMH: Thank you! I will be writing my little ass off … xxoo

  4. Lis says:

Yay! Your blog is back! As I was saying…

Follow your heart’s desire! Finish that book!

I can’t say for the others, but I don’t want you to feel obligated to post even when you don’t want to or can barely spare the time. Blog for yourself. πŸ™‚

  5. The best friend says:

If you dont write the book I might die.
I LOVE YOU, YOUR BLOG, & YOUR BOOK.

I cant wait til your back on track and on top of everything.
    Take your time.

    xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  6. Goldy says:

I COMPLETELY understand M. Good luck with the book.

  7. Ricardo says:

I’ve done this and plan on putting my blog on hiatus for a bit very soon. I realize you just can’t write something like a book and blog. Well you can but it distracts you from the bigger task.

  8. Selma says:

You go, girl. I have read the excerpt from your book you have posted on your blog and IT IS BRILLIANT! You have to finish it. The last thing you want is to look back in 10 years and think : “Gee, I wish I’d finished that book.” Go for it – you are a fantastic writer. Sending time management fairies your way, and lots and lots of good wishes!

  9. Dawn says:

    I will miss you πŸ™
But I do understand… and I really mean that.

  10. Don’t slow down too much cos I like reading your post πŸ˜€ Good luck on the book, Meleah.

  11. Michael C says:

Take your time and focus on what is important. I’ll miss the daily posts, but I am being a selfish bastard. πŸ˜‰

I can’t wait to read the book!

  12. Meleah says:

    I am NOT LEAVING.

I am NOT going on VACATION.

I just have to cut down to 3 posts a week instead of the usual 5-7.

I have a feeling this blog is going to become the journal about the process I will be going through while writing “the book”….

  13. FV says:

Whatever your decisions are, you can count on my support and encouragement. The lesser the amount of time you use posting blogs the stronger your mind is to write the book. So by all means my dear Mel, cut down on blogging time and focus on other things. Misses you. xo

I think focusing on your book is exactly the right direction to take. You’re ready, and you’ll kick ass!! πŸ™‚

  16. paisley says:

girl… just relax… if we had anything better to do we’d be doing it… write the book,, and fill me in on all your little book writing secrets!!!!!!

  17. Meleah says:

Paisley: You are the one with all the writing secrets! But Im sure I will have a SECRET (or two) for your blog.
    ——

HOLLYGL: I felt sort of the same as you, like instead of running a blog (well TWO) they were running me. The DAILY posts became more of a JOB and not so much FUN anymore. I will post Mondays, Weds, Fri’s or something like that…Ill see how the time management plan I am trying to impliment will all pan out.

OLLY: dood. I am so sorry I have NEGLECTED you and our friendship. I miss you. πŸ™‚

    —–

RICARDO: I know you understand. You shut your blog down 100% to focus on your screen plays.
    —–

    GOLDY: Thank you.
    —–

BFF: I love you back woman.
    —–

    LIS: Amen. Thats the plan!

  18. Oh darling, I totally understand…
I’ve had to cut my cloth too.
My book takes so much of my time…she is a cruel and demanding mistress.

    Good luck darling.
    Always here, xox

  19. Meleah says:

Thanks Minx. I cant WAIT to get my hands on YOUR book.

  20. Random Magus says:

I look forward eagerly to your book and totally understand the blog burnout syndrome as well….

  21. Geedos says:

Sounds like a good plan – I’ll also be joining the (sizeable) queue forming to buy that book of yours. Just remember to keep the print size big enough for dullards like myself who can’t handle big words!

  22. Tiffany says:

yeah get off this damn blog & finish your story before i forget where we left off. i want more
