  • I understand not blogging when I don’t have time to visit and with the grandparents, drama-llama sister, grandchild and stepson, not to mention trying to sleep between all of the above and still work….. aahhhhhhhh!

I miss you and I love you and I’ll be by as often as I can, girl!

On another note, I’m proud you are getting with the book and making it priority. Do yo thang, girl, we’ll all be here!

  • I think the structure and blogging thing are perfect to help you get what you need done. You’re going to get to the finish line before you know it.

  • Meleah, I wish you the best with your book and look so forward to it being completed and reading it. I can now look a little forward to Mondays too just to check in and see how things are going! You go girl!

  • DEAL! This is awesome! You’re doing exactly what a writer should do. You’re giving yourself the time to make all those thoughts and memories into a book. I’m proud of you! I’m cheering for you! Don’t you dare be sorry about cutting back on your blogging. That book is your dream and you know it and so do we. You’re following your dream. It’s what we all wish we could do and you’ve got the chance to do it, so GO FOR IT!

  • I just wanna say hello, I miss you and “That Guy” is a total ass-clown. I can’t wait to read CH #3…

  • Meleah

    Anna!
Well you picked the right day to stop over since I am only blogging on Mondays now. I love you and miss you too. Yes, that dood is an Ass-clown!

Oh and, Chapter Three and Four have been posted!

  • Hey man, at least you’re still posting!! Unlike other bloggers whom shall remain nameless (ME ME ME ME ME) You da’ bomb, woman.

  • Meleah

I’m trying my best to keep up with the internet and my book, but its proving to be quite difficult. And as you can see on the post above I have lost MANY a reader due to my decision. Oh Well. I can’t make everyone happy all the time!

So what the heck have you been up to anyway woman! I miss my Thelma counter-part!

  • I’ve been trying to keep my head above water… I kinda feel like a sham if I try to post something after such an absence without trying to give some sort of explanaition…I don’t know. What do you think?? I’ll post something, I promise πŸ™‚

And don’t sweat it, you are an EXCELLENT blogging friend, I mean it. Make yourself happy first.

  • Meleah

What? You are FAR from a sham. Write whatever the hell you feel like, whenever the hell you feel like it! No need to explain! Tell them to ask me if they have any questions!

I am an excellent blogy friend! Thanks for noticing.

  • Congratulations Meleah!

I’m so excited for you because you will learn so much during the process of writing your book. “finishing your book” will teach you more about you than you could ever imagine.

Matters not what happens next. Don’t quit. Go for it!

  • “I wish I could transfer what’s in my head onto paper without really working at it, however I don’t think any book has ever been written via osmosis.”

I feel the same way, doll. I have this futuristic sci-fi vision, which I think could knock off everything else, even Star Wars & Star Trek. But I just can’t get the images in my mind onto paper or text. I keep putting it off. Too bad I can’t tape the visions in my brain and show them in avi format.

    Roshan:
    This writing business is tough!

  • I understand all about writing a novel Meleah, I’ve been working on mine for over three years and I’ve revised it completely five times. It is roughly 500,000 words, but I’m in the process of shortening it and changing several things. When I’m done, I will give it away for free which will cost me a lot of money . . . but no one will see it until I’m done.

I do apologize for not reading what you have yet as I’m literally burned out on blogging. It is nearly impossible to write a large project, blog, comment and all that and not want to leap off a cliff hahaha! I’m glad you’re working hard on it and I promise to read it soon. I took off from blogging most of the past two weeks. I just don’t want to get burned out on writing altogether, so blogging will have to take a backseat. I just do it when I have time. Keep going and don’t stop, no matter how long it takes πŸ™‚
