Another 30 day contest? Are you crazy? No, wait. Don’t answer that.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with every day. I’m betting that there will be at least one NJTPK story in the mix. Good luck and break a leg, or fingernail, or wind or whatever they tell writers. I know it will be interesting.

  2. Katherine Murray says:

    OMG. Dare I?

  3. From one contest to another? I think the hurricane must have put you over the edge.

  4. shadowrun300 says:

Your craziness is going to keep me sane! I’m so glad you signed up for this! It’ll be the highlight of most of my days! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Junebug says:

Me, too! We should be friends on NaNoWriMo. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Ron says:

    You GO, girl!

I applaud you and look forward to reading!

  7. I have NO IDEA how I’m going to pull this off. But I will do my best!

  8. I think you’re right. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. YES! YES! YES! YES! Please???!!

  10. I will do my best – but don’t expect greatness over here. This is going to be BRUTAL!

  11. kellypea says:

Man, I shoulda signed up for both, too. Maybe it would help keep me out of food land and back at kellementology. I’ll just not be official maybe. But you? You can TOADALLY do it!

  12. Ron says:

So, October was a warm-up, I can’t wait to see what this month brings. I have no doubt you’ll be in your usuall great form.

  14. I hope so! I have NO IDEA what the heck I will be writing about. There is a list of prompts and I might use some of them.

Today I am going to start working on my Hurricane Sandy post. I’d like to have that posted by the weekend.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Jimmy!

    XOXOXO

  15. You still CAN sign up for both!! They are accepting participants until November 5th!

Oh, please do this WITH me?

  16. Allyson says:

I’m so glad to see you online. Superstorm Sandy was destructive, and I don’t know where exactly you live. Most of my family is back to work today, and only one member had to take up residence in a hotel. We got lucky, but I’m still holding my breath for my blogosphere friends.

And good luck with the contests. I always enjoy your posts, so this will be great, I’m sure!

P.S. this may be the first time I’ve commented here, but I’ve been a reader for a long time.

  17. Hi Allyson! It’s nice to *meet* you. I’m glad you decided to comment!

New Jersey is an absolute mess. Things are really bad. We have no power, no television, no radio, no internet, no landlines, no cell phone service, no texts, no emails, no form of communication whatsoever โ€“ nothing. And it could take up to a week to restore everything. Also, the roads are awful. Trees and power lines are down. Streets, and bridges, and tunnels, are closed. No traffic lights work. Ect. Oh, and you can forget about trying to get gas in your car.

All Monmouth County schools [where I live] are closed until 11/14 because they are being used as shelters.

Luckily, I was able to escape the disaster area, with my son, and and we made it to Pennsylvania safely. We are staying at my brothers house where there is POWER and INTERNET and SHOWERS and FOOD and FAMILY and TELEVISION and LAUGHTER.

No telling how long I will be here. But probably through Sunday.

  18. Lucy says:

Oh, my gosh, you are doing both, WOW!!!!

  19. I’ve tried writing a book in 30 days last year… I fell short :-/

I’m going to give it another go this year. And I’d better finish!

  20. Small Town Mommy says:

Good luck with your writing! That sounds like a lot of work to me.

  21. This is going to be INSANITY. And I am already questioning whether or not I will be able to pull it off. But I’m going to give it my all!

  22. territerri says:

If anyone can do it, it’s you! GO GIRL!

  23. ladyV says:

    ok go! you got it!

  24. Doing my best, but man this is killer!

  25. Selma says:

Go for it, Meleah. You can do it!!!!

So, the advantage of being so far behind is that I know you DID it, so I can say, “You’re not crazy just dedicated” as if I knew it all along.
