Big Pimpin’ – Father’s Day Request

For the past seven years  – I’ve entertained you with stories about my father.  Mostly because he’s hilarious.

He’s an evil genius executing the greatest revenge after being ripped off at a gas station. He’s been confused as Tony Bennett. And he’s been woken up in the middle of the night to kill a spider.

He’s repaired a broken garbage disposal, a desk drawer, and all of my flat tires. He’s moved an enormous amount of property. And once he sawed a sofa in half. He’s installed a chandelier, a waterfall, and he puts out dangerous grill fires.

* Also, he’s been known to dance while he cleans.

My father is famous for channeling his “Inner Larry David” when arguing with bank tellers, people in line at the grocery store, and by leaving notes on car windshields that belong to rude pig parkers.

* And in some circles, he’s been dubbed the King of Confrontation.

He’s responsible for scaring the crap out of people in the luggage department and for driving me insane after hiding a very noisy clock inside my bedroom closet. He’s photo bombed most of my pictures. He’s said some of the funniest things I’ve ever heard. And he’s pretended to be a 90-year-old man while trying to score a free bagel.

* Oh, yeah. And he really loves Hanukkah.

But here’s what you don’t know about my father.

After working for 30 years in the Commercial Insurance Industry, he is branching out from sales and focusing more on consulting.  My mother and I worked really hard developing his Commercial Insurance Website along with creating his Facebook and Twitter fan pages. And we’re thrilled to announce everything is finally up and running.

However, there is one small glitch.

Because his Facebook and Twitter pages are brandy new – he doesn’t have many ‘followers’ or ‘likes’ – which makes them look very sad.  And I need his pages look successful for any new potential clients.

Since you guys have been so supportive over these years, I thought maybe you’d like to help my daddy out too?  Ya know, in light of it being Father’s Day and all.

It would really mean a lot – if you could:

1. Follow him on Twitter
2. Like him on Facebook

[Afterwards please feel free to ‘hide’ him from your NewsFeed so you’re not inundated with boring insurance content.]

And there will a prize for the 100th like and/or follower or both!

Maybe even a personalized funny video from my father himself.

So how about it guys?

Lets make my dads Father’s Day a little extra special this year!

Great post about your dad. Did not realize he was a biology teacher. Given his twisted sense of humor, he must have been a hoot when it came time to dissect frogs. Congrats to Pimp Daddy.

  33. Thank you, Agg!

    He’s still an awesome teacher.

I hope your Father’s Day was awesome!

  34. Rock Chef says:

    LIked – don’t do Twitter, so can’t Follow…

Thanks, I will do more writing soon.

  42. Lauren says:

Wow! What a great homage to your dad. I’m a big fan of his show “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” How do you hide a news feed?

  43. Hey, Lauren!

Curb was one of the best shows EVER on TV.

You can hide people and things from your Newfeed by hovering over them and you will see a drop down thingy appear and then you can select “hide”

    🙂

  44. Followed and liked!!! I LOVE when you write about your dad… I am always laughing to tears!!!

  45. Sweet! Thank you, daaaaaaaling!
