ALEC BALDWIN

OH MY GOD! My “husband” is in trouble! Please see MY ARTICLE on Watching Sitcoms and weigh in on the comments section.

Was Alec wrong? Does he deserve to loose visitation over this? hmmm! tell me what you think over on Watching Sitcoms

Aside from that, I want to thank all of my family and friends who have and are supporting my new blog! I could not have done this without all of your love. Keep it up! New posts will be up every Monday – Friday by 10am. There is a permanent link in my sidebar Watching Sitcoms, by ME over ——>

Oh! Oh yeah, and then there is this…

I have a date. Really? A blind date. A date, that is not with my imaginary boyfriend Alec Baldwin. My girlfriend Jennifer has decided to take matters into her own hands as far as my ‘love-life’ is concerned because I don’t date. If I do ‘date’ I always seem to choose the men that are not even somewhere in the vicinity of close to respectable or remotely appropriate. So, fine, without going on for hours and into pages of all of my past bad decisions, I will admit, clearly I can’t make my own decisions. Agreed. Done. She is “in-charge.” Whatever.

Jen does not have a job. She lives a life of leisure. Instead of working for a living, she has made it her job to find me a man, including being responsible for all of the pre-date interviewing. Last weekend, Jen went out to get a bag of ice and came home with a phone number for a guy that lives 5 minutes down the road from me. A phone number for a 33 year old man, who drives a black BMW, owns a 3 bedroom townhouse with a loft, and his own towing company.

Um…I have no idea what I am getting myself into. But, I did have a lengthy telephone conversation with said future date this past Tuesday night which went pretty smoothly. I was able to ‘hide the crazy’ for a whole 45 minuets. I wonder how long I will be able to act right on Friday night when I go out to dinner with him?

Okay MAYA, (my dear sister-in-law) are you happy now? I am going on a DATE. One singular date.

(PS… Jennifer and her man Wilson will be accompanying me on the date as I refused to go it alone.)

[REVISED at 8pm FRIDAY NIGHT]

“The date” was cancelled by mystery “blind date” guy. Maybe? I wasn’t able to “hide the crazy” as well as I thought? Or, Maybe? He took one look at my pictures and decided to “bail.” Maybe? He really did have a “work emergency.” Let’s not play the “maybe-game.” Whatever the case maybe. I am HOME, alone (as usual) on a Friday night.

Thanks to everyone who has “partcipated” in the “comments” on this and any other “blog” I am the author of. Have a great weekend! I have a ton of TV to watch and a ton of “future” posts to write, and I need to stop using “quotation marks” immediatley.

Well, this is what has been going on since he divorced Kim Basinger. Apparently he’s got a bad temper – as evidenced by that phone message. He’s gross. I don’t he deserves to loose visitation rights, I think his daughter should tell the judge she does not want to see him.

Good for you! Hey, I pimped your blog over on EA today, where I belong as “phoenixx”. http://www.eaforums.com/forums/pop-culture/51089-methinks-alec-baldwin-pig.html

I’m so happy you’re trying dating, and so glad you decided to make it a double date 🙂

  • meleah rebeccah

Yeay! Thanks for pimpin! Good lookin’ out! Love you!

Oh most definalty a DOUBLE date, there is juts no way I am doing THAT alone!

Ps… I am so proud of myself for whipping up a post about a HOT OFF THE PRESS TOPIC in like 5 minutes for SITCOMS…of course I may piss off the masses with MY VIEW, because I am in love with MR. BALWDIN so I am not the most impartial speaker on the subject, but hey! I’m glad I wrote it!

Good article w/ very good points made. I don’t believe Alec should lose visitation. Love is frustrating and can make people act in ways they normally would not. I am sure their is more of a history regarding his inability to connect (speak or see) with his daughter, or regarding Kim’s maneuvering or manipulation to put distance in their relationship, but we will never know. Alec is no threat to anybody, especially his daughter. He is only guilty of loving his little girl and wanting to be closer to
her. I must admit I have not heard the audio and I probably would have
handled the situation differently. However, I am sure their are things he said that he does not truly feel, and that he would like to take back, but the bottom line is the punishment does not fit the crime!

Holy Crap! The only things missing is forced anger management classes, and a “friendly visit” from DYFS inspecting Alec’s refrigerator to ensure that it’s stocked with adequate food for the child…. I guess that judge never heard of “righteous anger”…. What a shame it is when an angry child or ex-wife can turn a parent’s world
upside down, and make it a living hell… If “words” are Alec’s weapon of choice, I’d say that makes him a pretty damn good parent… Alec, I hope you win in the end! Brian Dawson

MAYA, (thanks for the comment! always shocking when you leave a message, and always a pleasure! as no other “sister in law” has ever left a comment….. yeah, I said it!) BUT…I am sorry to let you down, did you see the REVISED edition? he, as in the “mystery blind date guy” cancelled….

sorry babe! I am still VERY single!

hey sweetie.. I think it is good for you to go out. I think we both know looking for love always ends in a disaster. If the chemistry is there and it just happens then you know it is right. The good thing is that you don;t need someone in your life. You have your son, job, new Blog job, and of course great family and friends. You would like to have someone to share things with and since you are a special and loving person I know you will find them. So just be yourself, take it one day at a time. Get to know the person and you will know if it meant to be. Good luck.

    Dear M

Just a quick thought about your Friday blog about your date. I have been dating for a while and found it to be painful. Everybody (including, most definitely, me) is crazy. We all seem to be carrying enough baggage to go away forever; and some of us should. Your recent blind date who cancelled is a problem I hear about too often from women friends of mine. Guys who cancel or don’t even bother to show up seem to be the norm. Men also seem to be prone to showing great interest and then never calling again. Women, on the other hand seem to evidence other kinds of troubling behavior. It seem that, the times I’ve gotten into trouble with women is because I’m: a) moving too fast for them or b) moving too slowly for them. And some day (over a glass of wine, I hope, because I’ll need it), I’ll describe what can happen to when you tell one woman that you’re thinking of becoming intimate with another. It’s a nightmare! So, don’t make yourself nuts over dating or finding someone to just have some effin FUN with, for Christ’s sake!! The more you do it, the better you’ll get at it because, just like the rest of your body, dating muscles have to be developed first so you can know that It’s Not Your Fault!!!
