Staring At The Blank Page Before Me

It seems that after taking an ‘Unintentional Blog Vacation’ while my parents were away in Jamaica last week, ‘I’ve Lost My Blogging Mojo’. Seriously, I am having a very difficult time creating anything truly worthy to share with ya’ll that does NOT involve ‘Personal Private Family Matters’ and/or ‘Inside Jokes’ based upon my ‘Real Life Friends’ from the infamous KHCC. And, I can’t even conjure up one of those ‘Obligatory Posts’ just to fill this here space.

However, now that my parents have returned home, some of my ‘Extra Responsibilities’ have been lifted and I am back to my ‘Regular Routine’. And that means I will have plenty of ‘Real Time’  to dedicate to my beloved ‘Internet’ by reading/commenting on all of your blogs. And just maybe I will find some much needed ‘Inspiration’ and/or stumble upon a good ‘Idea’ to write about!

In the meantime, I will also be focusing my attention to another writing project, but, I don’t really want to discuss it just yet, for fear of jinxing myself!

you have nothing to say but get 49 comments so far?

we must all really love you 🙂

  2. Thank you Selma!

  3. Oh God! I do love me some TRASHY TV! But I am NOT a fan of The Hills!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey and almost anything on the E!Channel but
    NEVER The Hills! Ahahahahahahahahahahah

  4. And that's because I LOVE all of YOU!

  5. I usually have nothing to say but that doesn't stop me!

  6. I think all of us lose a little mojo from time to time, but as an aspiring writer you'll know that the way to deal with it is to work through it! Now you're parents are back, you can do it. I know you can do it! 😉

  7. What? I think you write some GREAT posts!
Otherwise I wouldn't be reading your blog every day!

  8. Aw. Thanks Jay!

  9. Ooh, I'm excited about your upcoming writing project!

Sometimes a blog-cation is the best thing for revving up the creative juices. I was recently on a forced vacation from my laptop (and I can ONLY write on my laptop), and even tho I missed my blogging activities, the break did me a world of good. I know it will for you too!

  10. Okay. I am going to believe you JD!
And, I know EXACTLY how you felt SANS your laptop.
I would have been in the fetal position spoon feeding myself ice cream, and
    sobbing uncontrollably!

  11. I find inspiration in two places:

    1. The bookstore – I eventually find something worth reading that strikes a cord or two.
    2. The beach – there's nothing more peaceful and more refreshing than walking in the sand or down the pier, disconnected from everything, to enjoy a good sunset. Leaves me feeling refreshed and ready to take on the the world for some reason.

  12. Maybe a book store. I am NOT a fan of going to the beach.
    Unless Im on vacation.

  13. Unless you're on vacation and there's mojitos involved?

  14. Jenny Beans says:

It's tough when you take a break like that and have a hard time coming up with things to say. I took a little break from actual writing to host excerpts from the charity anthology we were putting out last Friday, so I was really looking forward to diving back into the actual blog writing this week. Here's to lots of creative ideas to you!

  15. Im going to blame it on the heat/humidity. My brain is officially cooked!

  16. Ok, but is this writing project in ADDITION to your novel? Like, the query letter for an agent because you already finished your novel??? 🙂

  17. I have so much of stuff I want to write about but cannot seem to find the time to write them. Maybe I need a vacation just so I can blog … LOL!

  18. That makes TWO of us!

  19. BK says:

Welcome back and good to see you around and going your round. I believe we will all go through blanks like this. All these should pass. 🙂

  20. JunkDrawer says:

Yeah, well. I had a writing project too — and mentioned it — and then the project went nowhere, so you are right not to mention it. I admire you for all the writing you do off-site, so give yourself a break, sister. I'm all kinds of blank pages right now and I don't even care. I'm exhausted from work and just about the last thing I can think of doing is blogging. So there!

  21. Roshan says:

Even u saying that you can't find the words to blog has got you all these comments. Wonderful & brilliant you.

  22. michellegartner says:

I( think most bloggers have that problem in the summer months. I did a few light posts this month- just to let people know I was here. My mom was out here vacationing from the 4th and left yesterday- so I am in the same boat as you. I hope this week I will be inspired to write something semi decent myself. 🙂

  23. Thank you Kathy! Seriously!
    xoxoxoxo

  24. Thanks! That's because I am ALWAYS so supportive of all of YOU!
    🙂

  25. Let's hope WE both think of something to write this week!

  28. Mike says:

I hate when I have nothing to write about it. Lately, I've been thinking of things here and there, but by the time I get home and get around to writing, they don't seem funny anymore, or I've lost interest. I know Julia (my fiancee) reads your blog a lot, though, so I thought I'd check it out. Judging from what I've seen so far, you don't have anything to worry about. Consider me entertained. 🙂

  29. I can't even WAIT for YOU to start blogging again, in addition to your photo blog! Love you! xoxoox

  30. Thank Mike. I love Julia. She is such a great person! And welcome to my blog. Im glad you are entertained! 🙂
