The Flu

Well, now that I am home from vacation…I am sick.

Again.

I climbed into bed on Sunday evening and I haven’t been able to get out of bed ever since. I have a fever of 102, a runny nose, a cough, and I am exhausted. I think I have The Flu.

Sigh.

    I am slightly concerned, because I feel like I did when I had mono. I am sofa king tired, I have to sleep a lot, and the littlest thing just drains me completely. I suppose I need to break down and call my doctor!

  • The town I spent the most time in was Cranbury (soon after known as CRUDbury). We have 2 other buildings in Monroe township - about 5 miles away from the main one. Don't know if you know where it's at, but that was it. 30 minutes south of (ahem - ARMPIT) Newark and 30 minutes north of (ahem - worse armpit than Newark) Trenton. Hopefully you live closer to the shore - that's the saving grace of Jersey, if you ask simple old me... :)

  • I'd like to think I fit the bill on all 3, but the fact that my mailing address is in the Pacific time zone might hinder a LTR. However, I was offered the job of managing 3 of our warehouses in central Jersey, after I spent the better part of 18 months fixing them. I originally turned the offer down, but this could seriously force me to reconsider... ;)

    I've been kinda of out it lately. Just way to much going on and my anxiety has been acting up...so has my ulcer. That's why I've been MIA. I just caught up on your vacation. It looks like you had waaay too much fun!

    I'm so sorry to hear that you are sick. YUCK!!! Wasn't it worth it though? Hee hee. :-)

    Were you able to get some book writing done? I'm almost done with my proposal and now I have to write a query letter. It's harder then I thought. I'm scared shitless to send it out...

    Well, drink lots of water, take lots of naps, and watch a lot of TV. If you do that last one a lot you'll see how many loosers there are in the world and it will make you feel much better! ;-)

    I have no idea where I got sick, but I feel really crappy. I am as tired as I was when I had mono back a few months ago.

  • Sounds like the flu- it's going around. My oldest stayed home from high school yesterday. But it was cool that he was sick after Thanksgiving and he is old enough to dump get his butt to the toilet without making a mess... I hate it when the under 5 crowd gets sick... blarg. I got the tree of them flu shots, now I have to convince the two older ones that they should get one two. Not that they are perfect- last years shots were only like 40% effect or something really lame.

    My normal temperature is 96.8 NOT 98.6. So, this is a high fever for me.

    And I am so very sore / stiff joints. Not cool. I took a really hot shower and tons of medication. But I still feel terrible.
  • 102. you know when i my kid gets a fever, i treat her like a blanket/heating pad.

    feel better. that has to suck, especially if you have any body aches.
