  1. Turtle! I love turtles! (Although I prefer my dry box turtle… water turtles are too messy to clean up after.)

  2. Cheryl says:

    S/he looks like s/he needs a post-coital smoke.

  3. Laughing Mom says:

That turtle is giving me the evil eye…it is making me very nervous!

  4. Ron says:

Wow…this is like the COOLEST photo, Meleah!

    Well done!

Is the turtle yours, or did you take this photo at like a sea aquarium? I love turtles!

    X

  5. Lucy says:

Confession time: Turtles kind of freak me out, I know, I am odd one?

  6. pearlvz says:

I had a little turtle, his name was Tiny Tim…

    Pearl

  7. mikewjattoomanymornings says:

    Had? Tiny Tim?

    Now I feel very sad.

  8. mikewjattoomanymornings says:

    Don’t we all need a post-coital smoke?

  9. mikewjattoomanymornings says:

We used to have turtles here in Colorado. Now, I’m not so sure. I think they’re amazing creatures, and this is a good photo of one of them.

  10. Junebug says:

Let me guess… this guy lives in one of the dr. offices you have visited lately. 🙂

  11. It’s not mine. It’s my friend Jennifer’s.
Sadly, this is a pet-free household.

  12. They are creepy. Like dinosaurs.

  13. I have no idea what that means.

  14. I think they’re ugly!

  15. pearlvz says:

It’s an old elementary school rhyme/song:

    I had a little Turtle
    His name was Tiny Tim
I put him in the bathroom
to see if he could swim
he drank up all the water
he ate up all the soap
    now he’s sick in bed
    with bubbles in his throat.

    🙂

  16. Ron says:

Currently, my house is pet-free too.

    Oh, except for CHARLES!

    HA!

  17. Hahahah! Nope.

    He’s my friend Jennifer’s pet.

  18. Awwww! I’ve never heard that before.

  19. Ahahahhahah!

    We love Charles!

    🙂

  20. Linda R. says:

Aw, what a cute little fellow! Enjoying all the pictures.

  21. Ron says:

    Awwwww

    X, from Charles.

  22. shadowrun300 says:

I love the look on his face! He’s a pet you say? Is he as big as he looks?

  23. nonamedufus says:

We drove back from Montreal to Ottawa a couple of weekends ago taking the secondary roads next to the Ottawa river. They actually had caution signs warning drivers to beware of turtles crossing the road. Didn’t see any though.

  24. Cheryl P. says:

Great picture! How big is that turtle? It’s hard to guage in a picture. If it’s one of those itty bitty ones, I need to keep my distance. As a little girl, I had a bad history of keeping those little guys alive.

  25. Ziva says:

Turtle! We don’t have turtles in Finland.. Don’t know what I’d do if I saw one here. But M and I did see them in Greece, they were getting it on..

  26. Barb says:

awwww I had turtles when I was a kid-cute and fun to watch but boy do they stink!!!!!

  27. Jay of The Depp Effect says:

Oooh, that’s a good one! Not so easy to shoot underwater, is it?

  28. Jay of The Depp Effect says:

I like that one. I can see this challenge is making you think laterally, too!

  29. Pat Kumicich says:

    Nice turtle photo!

  30. HeSaidHisTelephoneNumberWas911 says:

Nice photo. We used to have a three legged turtle, named “Stumpy”.

  31. mike says:

He can totally be friends with my plastic alligator, except he’s not much on conversation.

  32. Jamie Baker says:

Don’t worry- I already have the Turtle Man and Neil on the way.

  33. He’s pretty damn big. And kinda creepy.

  34. No! That’s why I gave up on the fish and moved on to this guy!

  35. Ah ha! I knew that was fake!
